Brewery of Eaux Vives
A retro micro-brewery
The Brasserie des Eaux Vives in Romerée is a micro-brewery where you can visit and sample beers. You can even get a bite to eat there. The staff is very welcoming. For us, visiting it is a must.

Visiting a brewery south of Namur and Charleroi
When you arrive, you receive a warm welcome from the staff. The welcome is the same regardless of the size of your party. You can learn about this small brewery through clear and detailed explanations. You really learn about the brewing process.
The tour is always a chance to have a discussion, whether it's with Pierre, the manager, or other enthusiasts like Aurore, Rudy or Julie. You can tell that the staff love what they do and that makes the tour particularly enjoyable.
Tasting different beers on tap and in the bottle
The atmosphere in the brewery is also very warm. It’s based in a former barn in the centre of the village of Romerée. It took Pierre more than four years of work to restore this building, which dates to the 18th century.
You can still see the framework and the old stones today. The style is retro, with wooden furnishings and books lining the walls. The old-fashioned ambience is very pleasant.
After the tour comes the tasting. You will appreciate the bitter flavours of Dame Bibiche, formerly known as Mam’zelle Bibiche. Monsieur Mouche is our favourite, though. This brown beer takes you by surprise.
An artisanal setting to explore ASAP
The brewery is located just opposite the church and the square. It breathes fresh life into the area by serving artisanal products. It also sources raw materials from the region wherever possible.
The owner has recently developed another project: the Bar de la Barrière. This is located a few kilometres from the brewery and offers local produce.
