A treehouse near the Ardennes
Terre Insolite is located in the Carrauterie estate at the entrance to Sautin, a charming village surrounded by forests and fields. It's also easy to access: you're 90 minutes from Brussels, an hour from Namur and 50 minutes from Mons.
More than anything, this accommodation tells the story of two nature lovers – Nathalie and Marc – who want to give their guests a wonderful experience. And that's exactly what they do. Once you arrive, you are welcomed with a small cocktail.
They'll take you to your room. The different accommodation options are quite close (which is all the better for getting to cars and the pool), but each boasts a certain degree of privacy. You can enjoy the view over the estate, no matter which accommodation you choose. It’s a real breath of fresh air.
Be aware that there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms (only in the lounge in the reception area). The owners made this choice to encourage people to disconnect.
Not a hotel, but Jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna available
Yes, some of the rooms could be referred to as glamping (a portmanteau of ‘camping’ and ‘glamour’), but what stands out is the attention to detail in each room. They know how to welcome guests here.
You can enjoy a delicious breakfast made from local produce on-site. You can also enjoy a dinner thanks to the catering service. Don't forget the swimming pool either, which is open from 1 May to 1 November.
If you want, you can even book a treatment, a massage or time in a Jacuzzi.
A night with your family or a partner
This estate is a place to remember for couple’s getaways, family trips or time away with friends. It sets the tone for your holiday. If you are meeting up with friends or staying with kids, opt for a yurt. If you want a romantic moment for two, choose the Bali pavilion.
Dogs are welcome; just let the owners know in advance.
The accommodation options are ideally located ten kilometres from the Eau d’Heure lakes and the Virelles pond. It's worth remembering that the RAVeL network passes within 300 metres of the site.
