Thuin golf course
How about a day of golf?
The Ragnies golf course (Thuin) has an 18-hole course. Our favourite part? How accessible and welcoming it is for beginners and the environmentally friendly side of all the facilities. It’s worth a look, even if you don’t play.

No need to be registered with a golf club
First and foremost, you should know that the golf course is located in one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia: Ragnies. The course is at a height. The view is unobstructed, offering a practically 360-degree panorama of the landscape.
You can easily come here for a beginner’s session, even if you are not a golf fanatic. Even if the first few tries aren’t a success, you can quickly learn to have fun teeing up.
With or without classification
The course attracts locals and visitors. Some people from very far away to check it out. This mix creates a very pleasant ambience on the course. It is good-natured and entirely public.
A warm welcome is assured, as is support for beginners.
You can come here for a lesson, a round of gold or a competition. The Ragnies golf club organises various kinds of competitions. All of the information can be found on their Facebook page.
An à la carte golf course
The golf course offers different areas, depending on your level.
In the beginning, you can training on a putting green, a 250 m² area that allows you to practice getting the ball in the hole. You then use a club known as a ‘putter’.
Next, you move to the nine-hole and eighteen-hole course. This spans approximately six kilometres.
The golf course was established in 2010 and follows an environmentally friendly approach. The game plots are now well established. Think of the grass and sand areas. The trees are growing gradually. In the long term, they will limit the wind on the green.
A clubhouse, restaurant and bar for athletes will be open soon.
In the meantime, the location allows you to eat at the Biercée Distillery, which is located right next to the golf course.
