Windsurfing

You can learn about water sports at Espace Fun at the Eau d’Heure lakes (more specifically, the Plate Taille lake). But not just any water sports. Try your hand at windsurfing. Don’t worry: the new boards are easier to handle and you can enjoy them easily after a few tries.

From initiation to practice

The idea of the heavy, hard-to-handle sail is outdated. The equipment here is new and makes learning a breeze. The board is more stable than before. The sail is lighter than it was in the past. In short, anyone can learn.

That means initiation for kids as young as six or seven, depending on their motivation and the strength of the child.

In the beginning, one of the instructors explains how to position your feet and hold the sail. After that, it’s time to give it a try.

The first few minutes are tough. Once you’ve found your balance and figured out the direction of the wind though, you can have fun travelling back and forth. After fifteen or twenty minutes, you really start to let loose.

The windsurfing area is also open to people who have their own equipment and want to give it a go. Check the water access on the website for practical information.

Water sports for groups, trainees or corporate away days

Espace Fun welcomes groups, school classes and more to introduce them to windsurfing. The instructors dedicate time to explanations and time to practising.

Bookings can be made by email. Once you get there, all you have to do is go to the pontoon where bookings are managed.

You can combine windsurfing with other activities, such as beach volleyball or bowls, to name just a few.

A shop, a beach, deckchairs and a bar on-site – hello holidays!

You can also buy water sports equipment. Windsurfing boards, vests, bags, shoes and more are on sale. The bonus is that you can test your purchases right away.

You can also enjoy the beach next to the windsurfing area. A bar has been set up under a large tent and serves local beers and cold drinks. You can even kick back on the deckchairs.

The swimming area is well laid out and has different depths. This makes it easier for kids to have fun in the water.
